An author's routine:
STEP 1: Decide to write a book
STEP 2: Write a book
STEP 3: Dream of getting in bookstores eventuallysomedaymayyyybe
—Or —
STEP 3.1: This happens:
"Do you do author visits at bookstores?" a lady asked at the Milford Pumpkin Festival.
"I ... haven't ... yet?" was my (so polished) reply.
"I'm a manager of several Barnes&Noble locations," she said. "I'd love to have you come read your books."
😳 what
Okay, so, that happened.
Fast forward two months, and ... I'm going to be reading at not one, but TWO Barnes & Noble stores — THIS WEEKEND!!!
WHERE: Leominster, Mass. (120 Watertower Plaza)
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 9, 11:30-3:30
AND
WHERE: Natick, Mass. (1324 Worcester St., across from the mall)
WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 10, 11:30-3:30
We'll do readings every half hour both days.
In between readings, I'll have a table — and our giant castle prop — with products from the Skoshie & Friends Storybook Collection available for purchase:
- books
- plushies
- stickers
- (hopefully) our brand-new coloring book
And the events themselves are free!
Stay up-to-date on these events and more through our social media!

I'm so excited for these events, and I hope you can come by for a visit! :)
The Skoshie & Friends Adventures books are about three unlikely characters:
- a cat who is timid but goes beyond her comfort zone and finds good things (and unexpected friends) in the wild woods
- an octopus who can’t walk well (but with eight arms can do lots of other things well!) learns to focus on his strengths not his struggles
- a dragon who isn't as big or loud as the other dragons, but is enough in his own way (and even discovers a castle!)
